Which colours can you spot? Why not be creative with this resource?…
If at home, perhaps watching a firework display (outside or from a window), encourage your child(ren) to look out for the colours on the chart and tick them off as they see them.
Alternatively, watch a recording of a fireworks display and even hit pause to discuss and identify the colours you see.
For a more physical sensory experience, why not create objects to represent fireworks in a tuff spot or on a trail around your setting/home in the appropriate colours? Children can then tick them off as they find each colour.
If your children need extending, consider an element of counting and perhaps even tally mark making.

‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ themed size ordering pictures. Intended to be cut out (and ideally laminated) for use by children in repeatable size ordering activities. If you have access to a fuzzy felt board, why not stick velcro tabs on the back so that children can move them around on the board?
Alternatively use them as a cut and stick activity (to also strengthen fine motor skills) for the children to take home and discuss with their families using words such as ‘big, small, medium sized’ or ‘small, smaller, smallest, big, bigger, biggest’.
Differentiate for individual children by using just 1 or 2 of the pictures for comparison e.g to focus on the words ‘big’ and ‘small’ or use all of the pictures to allow for greater variation of comparative language.

Why not use this sheet as inspiration for role-play? Encourage your child(ren) to place items into a pot/cauldron to make a magic spell. What items/ingredients are they placing in? How much of each? What will the magic spell do? Encourage mark making/writing on the spell sheet as you go or at the end once the potion is complete. Differentiate by what you expect from your child(ren), e.g. ranging from your child(ren) coming up with ideas whilst you write them down, encouraging your child(ren) to sound out and write words/sentences, introducing ordering words such as first, next, finally, etc. Try making it more exciting with descriptive words, e.g. instead of ‘worms’ write e.g. ‘wiggly worms’.

During the first Hanukkah a group of Jewish warriors called the Maccabees reclaimed a Temple that had been taken from them. They then proudly lit the candles of the menorah as a sign of their faith. These endless puzzles are perfect to show the cyclic nature of life cycles. For example in the first instance the frog puzzle may be placed in the order ‘frogspawn’, ‘tadpole’, ‘froglet’ and then ‘frog’. To demonstrate to children that the frog then lays frogspawn, the ‘frogspawn’ piece may be brought to connect with the ‘frog’ piece at the end and thus continuing the cycle. This process can continue for as long as you like, bringing the ‘tadpole’ piece to then end and then the ‘froglet’ piece and so on!

Select those appropriate for your children (1-10 available) and allow them to match the number with the corresponding number of butterflies. Each pair has a different way of connecting as a puzzle for the children to match and so even if they haven’t learnt what the number looks like yet, but are beginning to say the numbers in order, this can be a fun way to introduce them to new challenges.

Our oldest children may start to recognise the words and associate them with the numbers. These cards can be used as they are with pencil/crayons & loose parts or laminated for use with playdough or whiteboard pens. Easy to use, these doubling mats provide a clear representation of the concept of doubling. Simply choose a number appropriate for your child’s level in the top box (e.g. 3), then in this example place 3 loose part objects/playdough spots, pencil/pen marks on one wing and the same on the other.
