Have great fun with your children whilst all pretending to be fairies with this set of 6 Fairy Activity Challenge cards.
Perhaps children could stand in a circle around the pile of cards and take turns to pick one for everyone to do. Cards could equally be shrunk down and placed on a key ring to take out on adventures or featured on an indoor or outdoor display board and referred to with everyone carrying out the activity on floor space in front.
Once the children get to know the cards they will be able to relate the action to the picture without necessarily needing the card read to them...For example an adult may be able to simply hold up a card and everyone will be able to do the activity together!
Great for physical development, descriptive language, imagination, understanding the world and turn taking.

Fun scavenger hunt game for in or outdoors!
Fairy cards (Minibeast Fairy, Water Fairy, Tree Fairy, Fruit Fairy, Flower Fairy & Earth Fairy) are designed to be hidden for children to find.
You may like to simply encourage your children to search until they find all six fairies.
Alternatively (or after), for an additional challenge, you may like to draw children’s attention to the colours, shapes and numbers on each card. Why not challenge your children to find the card with a specific shape on it? We have also included sets of cards with the relevant numbers, shapes and colours on within the pack, in order that you may select a card to give you a particular child or they may self select a challenge for themselves. These cards are ideal for children who require picture aids for non-verbal communication.
The cards also allow plenty of opportunity for communication and language development and observation skills looking at the key similarities and differences between each fairy.

These Friendship Fairy sheets are designed for children to fill out and give to a friend when they recognise that their friend has said or done something special or ‘magic’! (For younger children you may like to encourage them to let you know when they think their friend has been extra kind, thoughtful or caring towards them in order for you to fill out the sheet for them.)
Award sheets can then be given to children for their ‘magic’ acts of friendship to take home and share with their families.

Enjoy looking closely at our collection of fairy snap cards and use them as a stimulus for communication and language development, whilst playing a fun game of snap or a memory game of ‘picking up pairs’.
The cards are made with a tab/patterned back which can be folded before lamination in order to strengthen the final product. This also means that when turned over, the picture on the front can not be seen.

This story frame is designed for the names of the children and adults in your setting to be added to create a personalised story. This story could then be laminated to give to the children as a seasonal gift or just be read to the group and enjoyed!
To accommodate different sizes of settings, the number of names that can be added is variable but add names in wherever works for your setting! For smaller settings you can always repeat names.
Please note that due to the editable nature of this resource, it is only available in word docx file format.

International Fairy Day
International Fairy Day is celebrated annually on 24th June, honouring the enchanting world of fairies and their rich presence in global folklore, literature, and imagination.
🧚 What Is International Fairy Day?
International Fairy Day is a whimsical occasion dedicated to celebrating the magical world of fairies, mythical creatures, and the power of imagination. Whether inspired by folklore, literature, or personal fantasies, fairies have long been a symbol of magic, mystery, and wonder in cultures worldwide. This day encourages people of all ages to embrace their wonder, engage with fairy tales and folklore, and celebrate the enchanting creatures that have captivated their imaginations for centuries.
🌿 Origins and Cultural Connections
The creation of International Fairy Day is credited to fantasy artist Jessica Galbreth. The date was chosen probably due to Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Fairies are thought to be most active during this time. It’s on Midsummer’s Eve that fairies and spirits may cross easily into the human world.
In various cultures, fairies are celebrated in different forms. For instance, in Romania, the Sânziene festival on June 24th honours gentle fairies associated with nature and fertility.
🎉 How to Celebrate
Whether you're a lifelong fairy enthusiast or newly curious, here are some magical ways to participate:
Dress Up: Embrace the spirit by wearing fairy wings, flower crowns, or glittery attire.
Create a Fairy Garden: Design a miniature garden using natural materials like twigs, leaves, and stones to invite fairies into your space.
Read Fairy Tales: Dive into classic stories from authors like Hans Christian Andersen or explore modern fairy-inspired literature.
Host a Fairy Tea Party: Gather friends and family for a whimsical tea party with themed decorations and treats.
Craft Fairy Houses: Engage in arts and crafts by building tiny homes for fairies using recycled materials.
Explore Nature: Take a walk in the woods or a local park, imagining where fairies might dwell.
🧚♀️ Fairy-Themed Events
While specific events vary by location, many communities and organisations host fairy-themed festivals, workshops, and gatherings around this time. For example, the International Fairy Tea Party is an event where participants worldwide celebrate by hosting their own fairy tea parties, emphasising play and imagination.
🌟 Embrace the Magic
International Fairy Day is a delightful reminder to tap into our imagination, appreciate the wonders of nature, and celebrate the timeless allure of fairies. Whether through storytelling, crafting, or simply taking a moment to believe in magic, it's a day that invites joy and wonder into our lives.
