Why not set up an invitation to play using these heart puzzles? Select those appropriate for your children (1-20 available) and allow them to match the number with the corresponding number of hearts.
Each pair has a different way of connecting as a puzzle for the children to match and so even if they haven’t learnt what the number looks like yet, but are beginning to say the numbers in order, this can be a fun way to introduce them to new challenges.
Once the puzzles are complete, why not line the numbers up in order and count together?
If your children would enjoy a further game, leave out a number and see if they can spot which one is missing from the sequence.
Puzzles could also be used as a fine motor control/counting activity if left uncut. Children could be given an appropriate number for their learning and encouraged to place objects on the hearts, counting as they go.

Colour mixing experiment sheets with a heart theme. For example, paint the first heart white and the second red. Then mix the two colours together and paint the bottom heart in the resulting pink colour. You may want to repeat this for a few different mixtures and make a ‘Colour Mixing’ display.

About ‘Father’s Day’
Father’s Day is a special occasion celebrated to honour fathers and father figures for their role in families and society. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, but the date and traditions vary widely. In the UK, Father’s Day is observed on the third Sunday of June each year.

🧭 Origins of Father’s Day
The modern version of Father’s Day began in the United States in the early 20th century.
It was inspired by the success of Mother’s Day and established as a way to complement that celebration.
The idea was popularised by Sonora Smart Dodd in 1910, who wanted to honour her father — a Civil War veteran and single parent.
The UK later adopted the celebration, keeping the same June date as the U.S.
