Our Valentine's Day: Art & Craft Message Templates are incredibly versatile and can be used in a multitude of ways across various early years and KS1 environments:
Art Activity Hub: Set up an art station with various materials: crayons, felt-tip pens, paints, glitter, fabric scraps, construction paper, wool, glue, and scissors.
Personalised Poster Design:
Children choose their favourite template from the 9 designs.
Encourage them to explore different art techniques:
Colouring: Filling in the detailed outlines with precision.
Painting: Using watercolours or finger paints for larger areas.
Collage: Tearing or cutting paper, fabric, or other materials and gluing them within the outlines or to create textures and patterns.
Once complete, these can be given directly as beautiful, individual poster gifts.
Creating Large Greetings Cards:
For a more elaborate project, provide large A3 card, folded in half.
Children can decorate the entire A4 template and then glue it onto the front of the A3 card.
Alternatively, they can cut out individual elements from the template (e.g., a specific heart or character outline they decorated) and arrange them creatively on the A3 card's front, or even inside with a personal message.
