Our Valentine's Day: Florist Role-Play Pack is incredibly versatile and can be used in a multitude of ways across various early years and KS1 environments:
Setting up the Role-Play Area: Use the banner as the main heading. Laminate and display the prices poster, opening times, and flower signs. Cut out and laminate the flower picture cards – children can arrange these in 'vases' (bottles, containers) or 'buckets'.
Imaginative Play & Social Skills: Encourage children to take on different roles – florist, customer, delivery person. This promotes imaginative play, turn-taking, sharing, and negotiation skills.
Communication and Language Development:
Children practice asking questions ("What flowers would you like?"), making requests ("Could I have three roses, please?"), and giving instructions.
