This colour matching set may be used in many different ways. Here are a few examples…
You may like to cut out and laminate the mats and separate cards to create an invitation to play for your child(ren). Children will naturally want to match the objects and colours, for example placing the blue cup card onto the corresponding blue cup on the teddy bear mat.
Play games with the children, perhaps putting things in the wrong place yourself, saying ‘Oh silly me! That’s not a green cup, it’s a red cup!’ all the while reinforcing the names of the colours.
As a cut and stick activity for individual use.
Give a specific colour mat to your child and encourage them to find the colour cards to match with the mat.

Two different boards to choose from - one for Phase 2 Sounds and another for Phase 3 Sounds. Dice required. Have great fun with your children whilst all acting out Winter sights with this set of 8 Winter Activity Challenge cards. Perhaps children could stand in a circle around the pile of cards and take turns to pick one for everyone to do. Cards could equally be shrunk down and placed on a key ring to take out on adventures or featured on an indoor or outdoor display board and referred to with everyone carrying out the activity on floor space in front. Sound cards with individual imagery and lettering to enable quick recognition in pre-reading children. The cards are designed to encourage the children to have fun exploring vocal sounds they could use to make distinct sounds for each one. Alternatively you could explore objects in the world around which may make these sounds. Once sounds have been assigned to each card, games can be played such as ‘Call and Response’ where an adult may hold up the card to create the sound and the children copy. With the most engaged children you may wish to make more than one sound to create a rhythmic pattern for the children to copy and then encourage them to investigate their own rhythmic patterns!

Can you match the feeding time number on the animal card to the time on the clock?
All times are o’clock and each puzzle pair has a different way of connecting for the children to match and so even if they haven’t learnt to read the time yet, but are familiar with a clock face and numbers to 12, this can be a fun way to introduce them to new challenges.
Once the puzzles are complete, why not line them up in time order? If your children would enjoy a further challenge, leave out a time and see if they can spot which one is missing from the sequence.

Why not set up an invitation to play using these ‘Feed the Lion’ counting puzzles? Select those appropriate for your children (1-10 available) and allow them to match the number underneath the lion with the corresponding meat to feed them.

Cut along the vertical lines and laminate for multiple uses or allow your children to cut and stick as an individual activity to take home. Consolidate children’s knowledge of zoo animals whilst playing a fun game of snap (or a memory game of ‘picking up pairs’) with this set of large snap cards. The cards are made with a tab which can be folded before lamination in order to strengthen the final product. This also means that when turned over, the picture on the front can not be seen. The cards include a picture of each animal, their footprint silhouette and also their name written in lower case letters. 11 animals included and the file comprises 44 cards in total.
