‘Parts of the body/face’ in ‘All About Me’…
As well as part of an ‘All About Me’ topic, this sheet could be used at the start of a child’s time at a particular setting. It can then be referred to with the child at a later time to show them how much they have improved in writing their name, drawing themselves or even how much bigger their hand is!

First the children are to make a handprint/footprint on the sheet. Then, they are to use a set of building bricks to see how long their hand/foot is.
If preferred, children can draw around their hand/foot instead.
In addition, this is an activity that could be revisited at a later date to demonstrate change and growth.

Fun game to aid familiarity with body parts, actions, number recognition and following directions.
This can be used as a group game or as an individual task. A die is rolled to find a number and then the children have to perform the action.
The colouring version can add an extra activity after each roll.

Ideal for use within a classroom or preschool environment (but also adaptable as an individual resource for slightly younger children). Each child can colour in a set of footprints individually and then add their name (or have it added for them). After, the footprints can be placed along a classroom floor for lining up and every day they line up they are looking at their name. The sheets can also be used for younger children as part of developing the ability to recognise their own body parts and their written name.

These playdough mats are perfect for gaining an insight into the day to day feelings of those in your care. Useful as a tool to explore feelings 1:1 with a child. However, they may be especially useful as a fine motor activity within a setting/school which also allows adults to tell at a glance the feelings of children within a group. This could be a particularly beneficial tool in assessing the feelings of those settling into a new setting. In addition, it aids in the mindfulness practice of recognising emotions.

These emotions colouring sheets are ideally made available to children within more focused activities surrounding 'All About Me' and 'Feelings' topics. Alternatively, each individual colouring sheet could be used as the basis for discussion/role-play about an individual emotion and then children can colour the sheet to consolidate their knowledge further.

‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ Nursery Rhyme Poster. Useful for displays and reading or musical activities. Younger children will love to explore the rhythm and rhyme of this nursery rhyme and join in, especially with the aid of visual stimulus.
