Pack comprises two posters, both of which show basic lines of symmetry for children to begin to build a picture in their minds of what symmetry is. One poster shows shapes with a line of symmetry marked on and the other shows everyday ‘real world’ items with a line of symmetry.

2-Piece ‘Glasses’ puzzles. Can be used as an engaging part of structured activity or left out as an invitation to play.
Children look at each of the puzzle pieces and work out which of them match to make a pair of glasses or sunglasses. 16 puzzles included. Various colours, styles and designs. Great for developing observational skills and a knowledge of symmetry.

Once laminated this Butterly Multimat is ideal to be used as a reusable playdough or loose parts mat. Alternatively, use it in conjunction with whiteboard pens. Without lamination this sheet could also be used with mark making tools or art and craft materials.

Alternatively you could try painting a pattern on one side and folding along the dotted line which presses the paint onto the other wing, thus creating a symmetrical design.
