Pedagogy in brief

The pack reflects the Preschool focus on representation and intention: children recognise what resources are for, choose them purposefully and use them to develop ideas. The quieter adult-facing line makes curriculum intent visible without fixing a single outcome. Used flexibly, the cards also support communication, collaboration and access for children with SEND or EAL.

- Select age-appropriate materials and use suitable supervision and setting risk assessments; the labels should support choice and curriculum talk without limiting open-ended use.
