Identify & Compare - Year 1 Science with an accessible EYFS plant hunt

Go out, notice real plants and return to look more closely. This expanded Plant Hunt pack retains the family activity, display poster, vocabulary, sensory notes, nine hunt challenges and different ways to record an experience. It adds twelve plant-identification cards, local records and invitations to compare useful features before checking a name.

Choose a small local starting set

An adult should check the route and identify a few plants beforehand. Choose examples that are actually available in your setting and season. Take useful cards, a clipboard and paper; a magnifier or camera is optional. Children do not need to find every pictured plant or complete every sheet.
