Keep children’s ideas at the centre
Children may ignore a prompt, change it, return to it or invent something else. The pictures suggest materials and actions; they are not finished models to copy. There is no set order, required outcome or checklist to complete. Familiar resources and uninterrupted play remain the starting point.
