What is in the toolkit

Known-GPC cards, current GPC mats, grapheme tiles, phoneme frames, current word cards, common-exception-word slots, and separate Words We Can Read and Words We Can Spell mats. All entry spaces are blank so you can follow your setting’s systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) programme.

Who it is for

For Reception and other children receiving explicit phonics teaching, including older learners revisiting taught content. Select for the individual or group rather than age alone. For younger children, continue responsive talk, listening, oral sound play and meaningful mark making.
