In addition to the ideas mentioned for our high frequency word cards and word mats, these bookmarks are a compact reminder of which high frequency words you are currently focusing on.
Keep the words you are working on inside the book that your child is reading.
Handy for reference whilst reading with your child, e.g. when you come across a sight word in a book you may like to consolidate learning by commenting “We know that one don’t we? Look it’s one of our ‘Bluebell’ Words!”
