Which colours can you spot? Why not be creative with this resource?…

• If at home, perhaps watching a fireworks display (outside or from a window), encourage your child(ren) to look out for the colours on the chart and tick them off as they see them.

• Alternatively, watch a recording of a fireworks display and even hit pause to discuss and identify the colours you see.

• For a more physical sensory experience, why not create objects to represent fireworks in a tuff spot or on a trail around your setting/home in the appropriate colours? Children can then tick them off as they find each colour.

• If your children need extending, consider an element of counting and perhaps even tally mark making.
