This pack includes 2 x ‘Getting to Know Me Through Play’ prompt sheets for adults.
The sheets consist of open-ended invitations to use naturally through play and interaction.
Use naturally
These are conversation and play invitations, not questions that every child must answer. Follow the child's interest and communication rather than working through the prompts as a checklist.
The second sheet ‘More Ways to Get to Know Me’ includes further prompts more appropriate to be used with older toddlers, preschool and Reception where appropriate.
Child voice can be non-verbal
Notice choices, gaze, gesture, movement, repeated interests, signs and actions as well as spoken responses.
