BIG GARDEN BIRDWATCH (UK)

This event was started by the RSPB. Its aims are to develop a greater appreciation of the birds around us and encourage people to note down the birds that visit them in their garden or school setting.

On this page we have compiled all of the resources from our website (‘Little Owls-Premium’) which you may find useful when engaging your EARLY YEARS children in learning about garden birds and wildlife.

*We have decided to focus on the most iconic and distinct looking birds you may see in a UK Garden in order to encourage young children to look closely at clear similarities and differences between a handful of birds, rather than confuse them with too many.
