• 💡 How to use this resource in your classroom/setting

  Our FREE Dinosaurs: Movement & Role Play Activity Cards are incredibly versatile and can be used in a multitude of ways across various early years and KS1 environments:

  • Group Activity:

    • Have children sit in a circle and take turns picking a card from a pile. Everyone then gets to act out the challenge together! This is great for turn-taking and social skills.

  • Physical Development Session:

    • Use the cards during a physical education or movement session. The cards provide clear instructions for different types of movements, helping children to develop their gross motor skills, coordination, and balance.

  • Storytelling and Descriptive Language:

    • Use the cards to encourage discussion. Talk about what each dinosaur's movement would look like and use descriptive language to describe the actions.

  • Outdoor Adventures:

    • Print and laminate a smaller version of the cards and place them on a keyring. You can take them outside on a nature walk and have children act out the movements when you come across a suitable space, like 'stomping' through the mud or 'swaying your neck' near a tall tree.
