Outdoor Continuous Provision Pack | Toddlers (18–36 Months)
Professional guidance for designing meaningful, developmentally appropriate outdoor learning for toddlers.
(This pathway component will be available for download by: March 31st 2026)
What this document set is
This resource pack provides comprehensive guidance for delivering high-quality outdoor continuous provision for toddlers aged 18–36 months.
It recognises outdoor learning as a distinct curriculum in its own right, not a replica of indoor provision taken outside. The pack supports practitioners to design outdoor environments that prioritise movement, regulation, sensory exploration, schemas and real-world learning — all aligned with the EYFS statutory framework.
The guidance combines practical setup advice, risk–benefit thinking, seasonal adaptation and curriculum-linked learning opportunities, supporting both day-to-day practice and confident leadership conversations.
These documents are not weather-dependent activity plans or one-off outdoor events. They support adult understanding, environmental design and professional judgement and do not replace statutory EYFS guidance or Development Matters.
