International Day of Families is observed each year on 15th May. It was established by the United Nations in 1993 to recognise the importance of families in children’s lives and across society.
It highlights:
the role of families in supporting children’s development
the diversity of family structures
the importance of relationships, care and belonging

This theme provides a meaningful opportunity to explore:
relationships and belonging
