This template is designed to support all early years and educational providers in maintaining clear and up-to-date records of safeguarding training for staff, assistants, volunteers, and students, in line with statutory frameworks such as the EYFS (effective from September 2025), Keeping Children Safe in Education, and local safeguarding partnership guidance.

Reminders for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs):

·         DSLs must complete full DSL training every two years, with annual refreshers recommended to maintain current knowledge.

·         Ensure all staff are familiar with your safeguarding policy and are trained to identify, respond to, and report concerns appropriately.

·         Maintain this record confidentially and securely, as it forms part of your evidence for safeguarding compliance and quality assurance.

·         This document should be reviewed and updated regularly, especially following new training or changes in statutory guidance.
