‘Emotion’ resources in ‘All About Me’ and ‘Mental Health’

A key part of safeguarding mental health is understanding, identifying and dealing with emotions. We can help children to identify their emotions by naming feelings whilst they are having them, taking part in activities such as our ‘Emotion of the Day’, talking about what an emotion looks like when we experience it and what feelings we experience in response to certain situations, stories, art, etc. A large part of dealing with negative emotions is understanding that they will pass and exploring things that we can all do to help them pass more quickly. We have some great new ‘Mood Booster’ resources which we hope will help with this!
