Minibeasts Word Mat

‘Minibeasts’ word mat. Why not use in conjunction with our ‘Minibeast’ word cards? Includes 12 different minibeasts. Can be used as part of a display or activities. Endless discussions can be engaged in describing these creatures. For example physical attributes such as whether they have wings, armoured bodies, shells, number of legs or body sections, etc. Older children can be challenged to further contemplate ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions building on these observations. For example ‘Why do you think the butterfly has wings?’…or ‘How do you think worms move?’ (Original artwork drawn by Sara Murphy and final digital resources created by Stuart Murphy.)
